A short, readable summary of what we collect and why.

What we collect

The Carry-On Edit uses two analytics tools to understand how readers use the site:

Cloudflare Web Analytics — anonymous, cookie-free pageview and performance data, used to monitor uptime and find bugs.
Meta Pixel — a tracking script from Meta (Facebook). When you visit the site we send Meta a record of the page you viewed, your approximate location, and other details Meta uses for advertising. If you click an outbound link to a partner's store, Meta may also record what you do there.

We do not run a newsletter, do not collect email addresses on this site, and do not sell or share information with third-party data brokers.

If you do not want Meta to receive information about your visit, you can:

Use a browser with built-in tracker blocking (Safari, Firefox, Brave) or install a blocker like uBlock Origin.
Adjust your ad preferences directly with Meta at facebook.com/adpreferences.
Contact us at editor [at] thecarryonedit [dot] com and we will exclude your visits where we technically can.

We do not set our own cookies. Meta Pixel sets cookies in your browser; those cookies are governed by Meta's data policy.

The Carry-On Edit is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect information from them.
